Business analysis

The practice of enabling change in an organizational context, with the help of historical information and the data on which the information is based. The set of tasks and techniques that are used to perform business analysis are defined in A Guide to the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge® (BABOK®Guide).
  1. Estimate likely selling price based upon competition and customer feedback
  2. Estimate sales volume based upon size of market and such tools as the Fourt Woodlock equation
  3. Estimate profitability and Break even analysis

Business analysis is the methodical investigation, analysis, review and documentation of all or part of a business in terms of business functions and processes, by defining needs and recommending solutions that deliver value to stakeholders. Solutions often include a systems development component, but may also consist of process improvement, organizational change or strategic planning and policy development. The person who carries out this task is called a business analyst or BA. Business analysis tools can be very robust, supporting many different methods and diagrams, so a well-thought-out approach that meets your organization's needs is crucial. The definition of requirements for improving any aspect of the processes and systems and the quantification of potential business benefits. The creation of viable specifications and acceptance criteria in preparation for the construction of information and communication systems.

This category includes a number of mostly unrelated techniques that in the right circumstances can be very powerful. How can you know if you have the right circumstances to use a particular method? Play close attention to the assumptions and the conditions required to make a particular technique work. If the assumptions and conditions don't fit your situation then don't use that tool. Maybe some other business analysis methodologies will fit better. Some of the most useful software tools and suites that can come in handy for the Business Analyst are:
  1. Microsoft word

  2. UML and use cases

: A great tool like Microsoft Visio can make life much simpler for the Business Analyst by giving the most comprehensive tool set for UML and Use Case representation/generation. There are also other similar tools like ConceptDraw etc. The choice is subjective to one's convenience. The requirements can also be managed according to specific development methodology and there are specific tools which are suitable for each methodology. There is the Requisite Pro, IRise manager and IBM's "Rational suite" each of which have their own style of implementing the different methodologies like Rational Unified Process etc.
  3. Presentations and other customer interactions

: The Microsoft PowerPoint is one software that all the Business Analyst has to use most during a project. Be it in the initial design plan elicitation or in the conclusive test phase roll out, the Business Analyst showcases the entire picture of the product through the slides. In case of the testing phase, the testing script, overall results, performance and quality assurance figures are to be well-managed and easily accessible. For this phase the Business Analyst's knowledge in Database management can come in handy. Some QA/Traceability tools like Mercury Quality centre and Test Director can come in really useful in business analysis.

Image relevancy is important when it comes to image optimization for SEO. An image of a train on a page related to Ferrari will do you no good. I know its common sense but this step is so important that I just can't miss it out.

Our focus has shifted from Social Media to VISUAL Social Media. This is a shift from Tell to Show. We are drawn to "visual content" online in more ways than ever before. The opportunity this provides for business is massive.

In short, it means that businesses or brands online need to take note of the stats. In 2012 alone we have seen You Tube pass 4 Billion Daily Video Views and Pinterest become the 4th largest driver of traffic worldwide. UPDATE: In fact, Pinterest, has just recently become the 2nd largest driver of traffic worldwide.

  1. VK photos
If you are a photographer or graphic artist - looking to market your creations, you'll be glad to add Get Free Followers to tour arsenal. Yes - VK, sometimes referred to as the "Russian Facebook," - can now be used to fullfill your marketing requirements and photo SEO!

For business, this means a massive opportunity for businesses who can leverage the power of visual marketing. If we can learn how to use images, photos, video, and other visual media in our online marketing, then we have a greater chance of reaching more people with our message. This then provides the opportunity for more exposure as visuals drive traffic to our websites products and services.

People are drawn to visual content and take action based on its subtle cues faster than any other medium–faster than text, audio or video.

The power of pictures isn't restricted to image-centric platforms like Pinterest and Instagram. Visuals are attracting attention and driving engagement across all social networks. Vkontakte - being the Russian Facebook - is no exception.

Post your photos in VK and then use the Vkontakte image SEO tool - Get Free Followers to boost likes on your VK images.

Fact is - all of the major social networks are highlighting visual content. Brands that can leverage the power of original, optimized images are going to get noticed more than the others.
