    The 1st problem small business owners make with campaign management is that they target the wrong keywords. Having detailed information with respect to conversion rates, local competition and the cost of the words will prevent you from making a poor investment. Plus, don't go for big-ticket keywords that have a higher payout. Chances are, competition will be too high. On the other hand, if you have a solid website that's already performing well with respect to SEO and has a well-designed landing page, it wouldn't hurt to see what happens. All in all, it's imperative that beginners to PPC keep their options open. Experiment with the market instead of putting all your eggs in one basket.

  4. Are the visitors presented with a link to your site when they search for a related keyword or search term? This is called phrase matching. The worst-case scenario is when your link is presented randomly, or as a pop-up.
