PPV marketing

PPV marketing Or CPV is not really the same as PPC. CPV stand for Cost Per View, so you don't pay when someone click on your ad but when someone see your ad. How do they see it? Pop up, pop under, that's it. I'm sure you've already seen some of those ads when you visited a website. It is a new advertising technique (in fact it's not really new, but was widely unknown since a few month) becoming more and more popular these days.

Basically, by downloading and installing the toolbar they are agreeing to view popup ads in exchange for being able to utilise the toolbars facilities, i.e. play free games.

The cheap cost offered by PPV marketing has made it attractive. There are some other PPV networks for which you can get impressions for as low as $0.01 per click for certain keywords and URLs. While using PPV marketing, you don't have to worry about the dreaded Google slap. You must make sure that your landing pages are in compliance with the network's rules because there is no quality score algorithm that you have to deal with.

Although there still exist not many good resources about PPV marketing, but the best found is PPV Playbook by David Ford. How are PPV marketing ads served and who supplies the ads?

The difference between PPV marketing and traditional search engine advertising (CPC) is that PPV delivers the consumer directly to the advertiser's landing page, and you pay on that individual impression.

The specific keyword price you pay is based on a combination of the ad category, the geography in which you chose to show the ad, and what you are willing to bid. The category minimums generally fall between $0.01 USD and $0.04 USD per impression or view.
